I have a bruise on my hand?

Hi, this morning I was cooking and when I finished picking up, I noticed that my vein in the lower palm of my hand was bigger than normal. Since then, I have had a bruise in that area (about the size of a 2 dollar bill). It's slightly tender and tingling. Should I be worried? Could it be a vein that exploded? Dangerous?
