Could it be impetigo? What can I do to avoid spreading it until I have a clinic appointment?

Hello, my 1 1/2 month old has a plaque in his eyebrow since this morning that contains liquid. It is red/yellowish. She doesn't have a fever but at her big brother's daycare, there are cases of strep infection

Hello,
Impetigo is often caused by a superinfection, the bacteria group A streptococcus or Staphylococcus aureus can be involved.
The symptoms of impetigo are mainly on the skin, without pain, and are usually not associated with a fever. It is characterized by purulent skin lesions covered with a yellowish crust, especially on the face.
It requires a consultation with a physician for diagnosis and appropriate treatment. I recommend that you see a doctor as soon as possible. In the meantime, to minimize the risk of contagion:
  • Continue to practice good basic hygiene, especially hand washing
  • Avoid contact with secretions from the lesions, so do not share personal items
  • Avoid scratching the lesions to avoid spreading the infection
  • Wash used clothing, blankets, etc. with warm water
Hope this answers your question,
