No, conjunctivitis in a child less than 1 month old absolutely requires a medical consultation. This is because at this age, it is common for the bacteria or virus involved to be different than someone a little older (even when the infection seems to come from someone in the family).
I recommend a consultation with an optometrist today or tomorrow.
