What can I give my baby who has COVID?

Hello, My 5 month old daughter just tested positive for covid. We give her Tylenol / Advil alternately to reduce her fever.

Mainly
  • fever (39 and over)
  • pain ++
  • when she coughs she cries so I suspect pain

Thanks for the feedback. Tylenol is still the best option for fever relief.
However, you should not alternate Tylenol and Advil unless medically supervised, as one should be sufficient for fever. I recommend that you consult your pharmacist to validate the dose of one or the other according to the weight and concentration of the product.
For coughs, I strongly suggest nasal hygiene with a saline solution such as Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse which can be done as often as necessary during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime, followed by the use of a baby's nose plug. It's a little uncomfortable but works extremely well to keep secretions from running down the throat, which often causes coughing
Encourage your child to drink often.
If the fever persists for 72 hours or if the symptoms worsen, you should contact a doctor.
