My 7 month old baby is often constipated, what else can I give him besides prunes?

My 7 month old baby is often constipated. Take note that she eats very well, fruit, vegetables, meat, cereals and certainly her milk and I give her water at every meal. The situation is usually resolved by giving her prunes. Is there anything I could give him to help him? As soon as I stop the prunes for a day the problem comes back

Hi, thanks for your question!
You are doing the right thing by encouraging your child to eat fiber and drink a lot.
For constipation, you could give PEG-3350 (LAX-A-DAY, Restoralax and other brands) as a tasteless and odorless powder to be diluted in a small quantity of any liquid to be drunk. The amount of powder is given according to your child's weight, 1 gram of powder per kg of your child's weight. Your pharmacist will not be able to show you how to measure the exact dose, because only the adult dose is indicated on the package.
I hope this has been helpful to you and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me!
