Hi, I have a question about sunscreen. I have always been told to look for UVA to be encircled in order to be well protected.

I see that not all sunscreens are circled. Is it the same when it says Broad Spectrum?
Thanks :)

Hello,
Sunscreens with the circled 'A' do indeed offer superior UVA protection in addition to UVB. It's a name for recognizing them. UVA is particularly implicated in skin cancers.
Broad spectrum is an interesting and even beneficial feature, but less important than the circled 'A'.
Make sure you put on enough (about the equivalent of a golf ball per application), at least 20-30 minutes before sun exposure, and reapply every 4 hours (e.g., morning and after dinner).
