Good morning, Mrs,
It is difficult to determine with certainty the cause of redness in the eyes. Often people with a cold can have this, but it usually goes away on its own
For mucus, the best option remains nasal hygiene with saline solution followed by the use of a baby's nose plug. This technique can be done as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. It may sound unpleasant but it works like a charm!
Acetaminophen (Tylenol, Tempra and other brands) is the best option for fever. I suggest that you encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids as well.
If the fever persists for more than 72 hours, if he or she gets worse, or if symptoms persist without signs of improvement for more than 7 days, you should seek medical attention as a precaution.
I hope I've been helpful, so please don't hesitate if you have any other questions!
