My 1 week old baby seems to spit up often, is this normal?

Hello, we have a new baby born on November 18th at 35.6 weeks old. Tomorrow he will be one week old. Since about two days he started to regurgitate about 1-2 hours after his feeding. Tonight he regurgitated a good mouthful and it was a yellow color.

Regurgitation, as long as it is not vomiting, is very common and does not necessarily indicate a problem. Keep in mind that your baby basically has to learn to digest on his or her own, and that it's not easy. As long as your baby is wetting and soiling his or her diaper and gaining weight, there is no need to worry.
