Sore throat and difficulty swallowing for 1 week?

27-year-old woman2 years ago
Sore throat and difficulty swallowing for 1 week. 5 swollen glands on each side. I feel that there is something in my throat. Also, persistent headache for more than a week and fatigue. Pain behind my eyes. I don't have a cough and no real nasal secretions. I do the sinus rinse.

Hello ma'am, I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
Besides Sinus Rinse, have you taken or tried anything for this?
Are you currently taking any other medications?
Are you pregnant or trying to become pregnant, or are you breastfeeding?
Do you have any allergies or intolerances?

None of that and I took tylenol only

Thanks for the feedback!
You have done what is recommended, which is nasal hygiene as often as needed during the day (there is no maximum number of times) and taking Tylenol for the pain.
Lozenges such as Halls and Fisherman's Friend can also provide local relief of irritation.
Advil anti-inflammatory medication is also a good solution for pain if you have no contraindications to taking it. I also encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot depending on your preference.
If your symptoms persist for more than 7 days without improvement, you will need to see a doctor.
I hope I have been helpful, I remain available if you have any further questions
Cordially,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
