What can I do about bad breath? Do I need to take medication or will it pass with time?

I think I have the beginning of tonsillitis because my right tonsil is swollen with white spots. A few weeks ago there were also "white stones". This causes bad breath, but no pain.

Hello, when did you first notice this? Do you have any other symptoms such as a runny nose, fever or other symptoms?

Hello, I think the first part of my message has disappeared! In fact, I feel like I might have the beginning of tonsillitis, because since the last few weeks, I noticed that my right tonsil is swollen, that there was white on it and a bad breath associated with it. I was wondering if I should resort to medication or if it would eventually pass. Right now it doesn't bother me since I don't have any pain, but the bad breath associated with it bothers me, so I was wondering if there was anything I could do about it. Thank you for your help!

Thanks for the information, I'm sorry for the delay in my response, I hadn't seen the notification!
Only hydration is suggested, with cold or warm liquids as you prefer.
Tylenol and lozenges can relieve the irritation if you are bothered.
If the situation persists for more than 7 days without improvement, you should consult a physician.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
