Pimples and itching in the groin?

29-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello, For about a week I have had small red itchy pimples that appeared in my groin and on top of my pubic area. There are more and some of them had a white head. My hygiene is good, I don't have any STDs, I had a bacterial vaginal infection two months ago. I have been applying antifungal cream for 3 days, but the itching persists and the pimples do not go away. What do I have? An infection, a fungus? Should I continue to use the antifungal cream and wait for it to go away?

Hello Mrs.,
According to you, could there be another possible cause for this rash, for example shaving, waxing or other?

Hello,
this is not the case, no.
It is not the same kind of pimples and one appeared on my belly in a place that I do not shave. The ones I have now are itchy unlike shaving pimples
Thank you for your help!

Thanks for the feedback!
In this case, if possible for you I would suggest applying a fragrance free moisturizer like Aveeno for itching. Apply the cream as often as needed, whenever the need to scratch arises. Use a fragrance-free soap such as Dove, and avoid rubbing the skin to dry it, instead, lightly pat the skin to leave a thin layer of moisture and apply the moisturizer quickly after getting out of the shower
If the situation does not improve at all, you should consult a doctor as a precaution.
Sincerely,
