Hello ma'am, I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
Would it be possible to get the following information:
  • what your symptoms are exactly (stuffy or runny nose, even a little, cough, fever, aches, etc.)
  • Have you tried anything for these symptoms?
  • Are you currently taking any other medications?
  • Do you have any known allergies or intolerances or contraindications?
Thank you for your time!

Hello,
fortunately, the pain in my ear has decreased a lot since I put a handkerchief in my ear, a bit like a plug.
I can see that sometimes a clear pinkish liquid comes out, sometimes a little blood, sometimes orange and sticky, but in small quantity. On the other hand, my 2 ears are blocked.
Also, my nose is blocked, obviously worse when I'm lying down. The mucus is thick and very sticky, I have difficulty getting it out by blowing my nose. I still try to blow my nose very often.
I have a very small sore throat, sometimes with thick green sputum. I only cough to spit.
I have lost my taste for a few days.
I have pain in my sinuses, especially on the side of my ear infection. I feel like it's blocked +++.
I also throw up occasionally at night and rarely in the morning since my flu. It happens when I cough and spit a lot. I had had morning vomiting from my 7th week of pregnancy but nothing since then, until my flu.
As for medication, all I take are pregnancy multivitamins and diclectin (2 at bedtime, 1 mid-morning and one in PM prn, as recommended by my pharmacist).
I have done some sinus rinses, but the water tends to come out mostly through my mouth as I am so congested.
I also take honey lozenges (only honey and sugar) to help.
The only known allergy I have is to sulfa.
There you go, I think that's a lot of detail!
Thank you for your help!

Thank you very much for the information!
Unfortunately if you have a discharge from your ear, this is an indication to seek medical attention as soon as possible. Taking Tylenol for the pain and lozenges like Halls or Fisherman's Friend can relieve the throat irritation, in addition to drinking plenty of fluids, cold or hot depending on your preference, while waiting to consult.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
