What can I do to heal this swollen, red "pimple" with pu?

My daughter has a "pimple" on her finger that looks infected, it's been about a week since it appeared. Since then it has been swelling, there is redness around a pimple with stink and scab, and it hurts.

here is some additional information: my daughter has had a "pimple" on her finger for a week. It looks infected like there is pu, a little scab and redness and it is getting worse every day. It hurts to the touch. We keep the wound clean and we put some ointment on it

Hello, what ointment and how often did you apply it?
Has the redness increased?

Muprirocin. I started applying it two days ago. The wound drained yesterday after a bath. This morning it seems a little less swollen. A scab has formed and there is less pu.
Should I put a bandage with ointment on it for the day (changing the bandage as needed)?

Thanks for the feedback.
If the skin is open, only clean with soap and water and cover as a covered wound is better able to heal. Change the dressing only once a day unless it becomes soiled or wet.
If it doesn't seem to get better every day or if it gets worse, you should seek medical attention.
I hope I've been helpful, I'm still available if you have any other questions!
