I have bleeding in the middle of my contraceptive pack?

Hi, I have been thinking about the MYA birth control pill for almost 5 months. Last month and this month I had bleeding at about the 15th day of the pack. I have been skipping the white pill for 3 months now. I have a slight pain in my belly when spotting occurs. Last month it lasted at least 7 days.

Hello Mrs., thank you for your question! Although it may seem unpleasant, it does not necessarily indicate a problem. These are common side effects with this and other contraceptives. You can continue to take it continuously (i.e. without taking the inactive pills), but the spotting may continue for some time. It is usually given 3 to 6 months to evaluate this.
