I have had an IUD (mirena) for 3 years now. For some time now I have had bleeding after about every sexual encounter. I have a lot of pain in my lower abdomen several times a week. I often say that the pain reminds me of when I had my IUD installed. I get hot and nauseous because the pain is so intense. It is important to know that I have not had any menstrual bleeding since I got my IUD. It is also important to know that I have never had any pain in my stomach when I had my period. I have had the same sexual partner since I got my IUD and I don't do anything new either. Another important piece of information is that I have von willebrand disease.

Cramps at times are possible even with the IUD and even without having a bleeding period.
You mention that you have bleeding "about after each intercourse": since when have you noticed this?
Is the cramping worse after intercourse or whatever?

For about 2.3 months for bleeding after intercourse. And the cramps are often worse after intercourse too!

If the situation has been present frequently for 2 or 3 months (bleeding or cramps) and you have not noticed any improvement in this area, I think you should consult a doctor, if only as a precaution.
