I have a lot of pain following the insertion of my IUD?

Hello, I had my hormonal IUD inserted two days ago and the pain has subsided, but today I started using the IUD again and I have pain, cramps, stronger and more acute than this morning. What should I do? Is it possible that my IUD has moved?

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question! Would it be possible to know which IUD you are wearing?
Thank you!

Thanks for the clarification!
The insertion process can be painful even a few days after the IUD is placed. If you have no contraindications to taking an anti-inflammatory medication, I suggest ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin and other brands) which can help relieve the pain.
If it persists for more than 2 weeks or impinges on your quality of life, you will need to see a doctor.
Cordially
