Is it normal to have less menstrual bleeding since I am trying to conceive?

30-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello, For the past three months, my boyfriend and I have been trying for baby #1. I have noticed that since then, my periods are no longer the same. Very light and my stomach aches have disappeared. You have to understand that before, I absolutely had to have a tampon AND a pad for the first two days of my period since it was flowing. And now, if I put a tampon, it's very uncomfortable because my bleeding is too light. So I put a pad on and I hardly stain my pad. I feel like I only bleed when I go to pee. I am not pregnant since I have taken several pregnancy tests in the last three months.

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question!
Would it be possible to know if you were taking contraception before trying to conceive, and if so, for how long?

No, I have not taken any contraception for over 8 years.

Thanks for the clarification!
While you were trying to conceive, did you notice any changes in your diet, work schedule or stress level? These are factors that can in some cases change the appearance of menstruation, but this does not necessarily indicate a problem
Keep in mind that you are not reporting any other symptoms that may indicate a problem
Sincerely
