What can it be? Is there anything to do?

For about 1 and a half months my 14 month old daughter has had a yellowish back of the tongue. I thought that if I brushed her tongue longer it would go away but it is still there.

Hello,
It is difficult to know the exact cause of this symptom.
Your dentist would be the most accessible professional to answer you quickly following an oral examination. Many dentists can examine small children; you should check with the office to see if they offer this service.
If the only symptom is the change in color, it can probably wait until the next scheduled follow-up appointment. Your pediatrician or pediatric nurse could also check for this symptom.
However, if she has a bad smell, fever or difficulty eating or swallowing, you should make an appointment for an evaluation within the next week.
Have a great evening!
