I have a headache and eyebrow spasms, what can I do?

Hello I have had a persistent headache since the weekend. It is in the right eye/brow area only. I had a migraine this Saturday, I have them quite often but it is controlled. However, the spasms in my right eyebrow continue and are difficult to control. I have been having anxiety lately but otherwise I have no other symptoms or changes in my condition. It really comes in spurts at the starting corner of my eyebrow. What is causing this kind of headache and should I be concerned?

Hello Mrs,
Anxiety and fatigue among other things cause eyelid spasms, which usually resolve themselves after a few days.
As for the headache, do you think it is possible that it is related to your migraines? Do you usually take anything for migraines?

I had a medication prescribed for migraines but I don't take it anymore because I was becoming a bit non-functional. I take the extra strength tylenol with caffeine and normally it goes pretty well. It may be related to my migraines, I also got my period late last week. Can food make my symptoms worse? Last night I had some wine and chocolate fondue

Thanks for the information!
Some references indicate that certain foods may trigger or worsen migraine symptoms. To this end, it is recommended that you keep a diary of what and how much you eat and also your state of mind (fatigue, stress, etc.) to compare this to the onset and extent of your symptoms. This can take between 4 to 8 weeks so I recommend being persistent :)
Also, I would like to mention that if you have had an adverse reaction to your migraine medication, your pharmacist is the best person to suggest alternatives to your doctor. I recommend talking to him/her about it if you haven't already, there are many options available.
I hope I've been helpful, I'm still available if you have any other questions!
