What can I apply to my 13 month old boy's very red bottom?

Red patches on the whole of the buttocks which persist in spite of the application of canesten twice a day and the barrier cream. The red patches do not seem to itch despite the fact that they are quite large. No change of soap, wipes and diapers. I have a picture but cannot attach it to the question. Thanks

Hello Ma'am, As a matter of fact, we can't attach a picture at this time on Question for a Pharmacist. In a case like this, the creams you are using are not sufficient, as you have realized. In its place, we will use a zinc oxide cream containing 40% oxide . We usually look for Zincofax brand creams (pink jar). We apply it after every diaper change (even peeing) and after bath time.
