What can I take to relieve heartburn?

I often have unexplained heartburn. I vary my diet and I don't take any medication. It happens to me after meals as well as during a day when I don't eat much.

Hello Sir,
There are several options that work quickly but only last 45 minutes to 3 hours such as Tums, Gaviscon and others, and there are other options that work less quickly but longer like Pepcid or Zantac. Your pharmacist will be able to customize an option for you based on the inventory and your preferences, and follow up closely with you.
That being said, if the situation persists for more than 2 weeks without improvement or worsens, you should consult a physician to rule out other causes and not delay the management of your symptoms.
I will remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist

Great thanks for the information! It's been going on for about 2 years now...I'm a little tired of having this randomly. I went to the pharmacy and got some pepcid for a little longer action. I'm going to see how well the medication works.
