I am breastfeeding and I have rectal pain for 1 month, what should I do?

29-year-old womana year ago
Hello, for more than a month I have had extreme rectal pain that starts about 30 minutes after having a bowel movement. I have treated it as if it were hemorrhoids but without success. Advil/Tylenol are not working. I suspect an anal fissure that is still there.

Hello ma'am, I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
What creams have you tried, for how long and how often?
Do you have any other symptoms like constipation or hard stools?

I have tried for 2-3 weeks there anusol creams and suppositories. I have been taking lAx-A-day for 2 months now every day so I have no problem with hard stools and I go to the bathroom every day without having to strain. I even use Vaseline before going to the bathroom. I don't necessarily have pain during but especially after 15 minutes that it appears and increases.

I put the creams on after each bowel movement and sometimes for 2-3 times a day afterwards but without success. It created more pain during the application and revived my pain.

Thank you for the information, I am sorry for the delay in my response, I had not seen the notification!
Anusol Plus and non-pharmacological measures (using wipes, addressing constipation, etc.) are usually the first line of treatment for this type of symptom. Anusol Plus can be applied twice a day and after each bowel movement. If the situation persists for more than 14 days without improvement, a doctor should be consulted to rule out other causes and not to delay proper management of the problem.
Sincerely,
