Hello, thank you for your question!
Cyestra-35 is not officially indicated for contraception. It should not be prescribed for this purpose only. It is mainly prescribed for the treatment of acne.
The majority of studies on the drug and its ingredients show that it could be an effective contraceptive. However, if contraception would be the only reason for its use, I would suggest changing it.
I hope this helps, and I am available if you have any further questions!

I was prescribed Cyestra for acne over 5 years ago and I am still taking it. If the contraception that this pill offers is similar to other oral contraceptives such as Lolo or Alesse for example, I would continue with Cyestra because I have no problems with it. I have been taking the pill at the same time every day for years and I want to make sure that I am protected. Also, I have started taking it continuously for 2 cycles now and I would like to know if it is ok with this medication. Thank you very much for your answer

I would like to make it clear that these are my words and my professional opinion. They may be different in another professional's opinion:
Given that there are other options that have the recognized indication for contraception, I am not suggesting that Diane-35 be taken for this purpose. This is also the position of Health Canada, which in 2014 issued a questionnaire that should be filled out with every person wishing to start Diane-35 or one of its generics. Here it is on page 2
That being said, I have no problems with taking Cyestra continuously.
Sincerely
