Hello Madam, I am sorry to read about your troubles!
First of all, we need to try to find the cause of your symptoms, so let me ask a few questions to try to get to the bottom of it:
  • Are you currently taking any medications? If so, which ones?
  • If so, has there been a change in your medications or their dosage?
  • Besides the dizziness, do you have any other symptoms such as nausea, blurred vision, or anything else?
  • How long have you had this problem?
Thank you for your time!

According to the doctor it is caused by a medication I was taking for anxiety that was stopped. Yes, I have had nausea and dizziness for 10 days. I take gravol. Is there any way or trick to help reduce the dizziness?
Thank you for your help!

Thanks for the feedback, what medication was it? Was it stopped gradually or abruptly?
Gravol would have been my first recommendation to help alleviate these symptoms, but depending on your answers to the above questions this could change

Sertraline was the lowest dose I had been taking for only 6 days. So it was stopped immediately. I have to replace it with Effexor. I am waiting a little while before starting it until my symptoms of dizziness and nausea are reduced. To see how I will react to the new medication.
I saw as a side effect that gravol could cause dizziness
It is really the dizziness that bothers me the most and makes me nauseous. Thank you

Gravol can cause drowsiness but is frequently suggested and prescribed for dizziness and nausea
If sertraline has been discontinued for 10 days, it is unlikely to be the cause of your symptoms now. If there is no improvement with regular Gravol, rest and hydration after 3 days, or if you are unable to hydrate, I suggest consulting again to reassess your condition.

The setralin was stopped Tuesday night. I have been taking my gravol prescription since today. The dizziness makes the room and objects spin around and makes me feel nauseous. Are gravols supposed to stop the dizziness?
Thank you

They are supposed to at least mitigate them!
