I have my piercing at the level of the Cartillage for several years, it makes constantly infections (perhaps due to the presence of a chléoïde). Is there a cream or ointment or something I can put on it to reduce it.

Piercings in the cartilage of the ear and nose tend to be more prone to infection due to the limited blood flow in the area. After consulting various sources of information, it is generally advisable to remove the piercing and treat the infection with an antibiotic cream. This is especially true if you have repeated infections.

Failure to remove the piercing can greatly reduce the effectiveness of the antibiotic.

Finally, you could start by treating the infection with Polysporin if the infection is not too extensive, and switch to Bactroban (a cream provided by a pharmacist but without a prescription) if Polysporin does not improve the infection within 72 hours.

Ask the pharmacist to show you the most appropriate cream for your case when you visit the pharmacy.
