I have pain that sometimes prevents me from walking?

21-year-old woman2 years ago
I have had leg pain since I was 14 years old. At first, it was only during my period, but 4 years later, the pain starts at any time and is more intense during my period. They prevent me from walking, especially on the first day of pain and the second day of menstruation. My blood tests are correct, neurological examination as well, and a blood pressure test in my legs before and after exercise did not reveal anything abnormal. I also had x-rays, which were normal. I have a normal weight and have been taking naproxen for 4 years, which no longer works very well. I am not on the birth control pill, as my doctor prefers that I wait until I need it as a form of birth control. My situation has real impacts on my mental health and I never get an answer. I have been to the emergency room twice because the pain was getting too intense. What health care professional should I see? Do you have any ideas for a health problem that might be similar to what I have?

Hello ma'am, sorry to read about your troubles!
Have you consulted another type of professional, such as a physiotherapist? They are the professionals best suited to assess and treat pain. Most group insurance plans cover this type of service.
I hope this has been helpful and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me
