Is there a product that could help me relieve the burning sensation? Do you know why the pain occurs during sports?

Hello, I never experience acid reflux/burning in my daily life but when I play more intense sports (field hockey) I feel a good pain in my esophagus. The pain appears during the sport and continues until the next day. This week I play every day so I would say that my pain has become constant since every time I play again the problem comes back and continues the next day. When I don't eat it is tolerable but when I do eat it hurts quite a bit even if it is something light. I take tums but it doesn't change anything (just to say that I don't have any burps or reflux that comes up to my mouth) it's really a burning between the two breasts

Hello,
In order to answer properly, I see validating some information.
Do your burns also occur at rest to only after intense exercise?
Does it keep you up at night?
Have you noticed if certain foods are worse than others for burning?
Did you have this problem before or is it recent?

Hello, my burning only happens during and after strenuous physical activity. It doesn't keep me up at night. I would say that when the burning occurs no matter what food I ingest afterwards it will hurt. But of course it's even worse with some spicy or fatty things. I have had this problem in the past always while doing sports...I hadn't had it for a while because I had stopped doing intense sports but since I started again it has come back so for me it is really sports related

Thanks for the clarification. Indeed, based on what you describe, it is most likely sports related. Pharmacists can now prescribe heartburn medications. So, at your pharmacy, you could get the prescription without going through your doctor.
If you want, I could also prescribe it and send the prescription to your regular pharmacy. If you are interested, I could do a video consultation with you to make a better assessment of your situation.
I hope this advice may have been helpful to you.
