Is chamomile safe and recommended for a 4 month old baby?

I bought a product from the company la souris verte, to help with the pain of teething. However, if you are under 6 months of age, it is suggested that you ask your pharmacist. Here are the ingredients: Is it safe to give it to my 4 1/2 month old baby? Medicinal ingredients: for 1 ml : Chamomile* (Matricaria chamomilla) Extract: 1:12.5 (Flowers).............................80 mg Non-medicinal ingredients: Vegetable glycerin, Purified water, Marshmallow, Sodium benzoate, Potassium sorbate (food grade preservative), Citric acid. *Organic plants verified by OCQV Thanks

Hello Mrs., thank you for your question! I have not been able to find any references that concretely indicate that chamomile is safe at 4 months. I must therefore, as a pure precaution, suggest that you do not administer this product at this time. If you notice any discomfort or pain, the first line of treatment is still acetaminophen (Tylenol, Tempra and other brands).
