I probably have sinusitis. Is there anything that can be prescribed at the pharmacy or do I have to see a doctor?

Hello Mrs,
In order to better understand your needs and advise you, would it be possible to obtain the following information:
  • How long have you had these symptoms?
  • Do you have other symptoms such as discharge, congestion or other?
  • Are you currently taking any medication?
  • Do you have any allergies, are you pregnant or breastfeeding?
Thank you for your time!

I have had cold symptoms since Monday (congestion, runny nose, sneezing), but sinus pain and headaches since yesterday. I don't have much discharge today, but still congested. The pain is on the bone under my eyes more precisely. I have never had any allergies to date. I am not pregnant or nursing. I am not taking any medication either

Thanks for the feedback!
For congestion, discharge and sneezing, nasal hygiene with a saline solution such as Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse is the best option. This can be done as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. It is a little uncomfortable but works extremely well.
For pain, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin and other brands) or Tylenol can be taken as needed. Just check with your pharmacist if these are appropriate for you, as a precaution
If the symptoms persist for more than a week or get worse, you should consult a doctor, as a precaution.
If you have not already done so, I suggest that you take a quick test for COVID.
I hope this has been helpful to you and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me
