Is a blood test reliable for detecting pregnancy early in the menstrual cycle?

Hi, I had a blood test for pregnancy about 5 days after my last relationship. Will the result be reliable or do I have to wait for the next rule?

Hello, thank you for your question!

The result will be most reliable if the test is performed from the first expected day of menstruation. A blood test could detect the pregnancy about 1 week after ovulation.
