Can taking antibiotics interfere with my menstrual cycle?

I am taking the antibiotic Zithromax and Tricyclen Lo (28). I was supposed to have my period during my treatment, but I didn't... could it be the antibiotic?

Hello Ma'am,

That would be very surprising. The only impact some antibiotics have (but not Zithromax) is that it can reduce the effectiveness of the contraceptive.

If you are several days late, you should think about taking a pregnancy test (especially since you asked a question a few days ago about the impact of forgetting the pill on your cycle 😊).
