I am currently breastfeeding my 10 month old son and have not had a period since he was born. My partner and I want to try for another baby. Are the dovulation tests reliable in my condition?

is it possible to get pregnant in my condition?

Hello, in fact, if you still haven't had your period, you probably haven't had an "ovulatory cycle" yet. However, that doesn't mean that you can't get pregnant in the next few months since ovulation occurs before the onset of menstruation and is therefore difficult to predict. An ovulation test or a basal body temperature reading (temperature graph method) could be useful in this context. Breastfeeding can indeed interfere with ovulation, but since your baby is 10 months old and no longer exclusively breastfed, ovulation may well occur. So yes, it is possible to become pregnant in this condition. I hope that I have answered your question correctly. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions

No, it should be just as effective, with no false positives
