However, that doesn't mean that you can't get pregnant in the next few months since ovulation occurs before the onset of menstruation and is therefore difficult to predict. An ovulation test or a basal body temperature reading (temperature graph method) could be useful in this context. Breastfeeding can indeed interfere with ovulation, but since your baby is 10 months old and no longer exclusively breastfed, ovulation may well occur.
