How can I get my Concerta 27 mg when my doctor retires?

Hello I am currently taking concerta 27mg for my ADD, but I will not have a family doctor soon. I know you have to get on the waiting list for a family doctor, but it can take several years to get a new family doctor.

Hello,
Indeed, you will have to register at the one-stop shop for access to a family doctor.
Your pharmacist will be able to re-prescribe your treatment, as long as it works well for you and you tolerate it well!
If your pharmacist is concerned about something in the future or feels that a reassessment is needed, he or she can refer you to the First Line Access Centre (811 option 3). This is a service for patients without a family physician.
I hope that I have answered your question correctly,

Thank you for your quick feedback. Just to be clear, so a pharmacist can do the refills for several years if there are no complications/concerns/reviews to be done?

It's a pleasure!
Indeed, the whole thing can be handled by your pharmacist.
We are usually limited to a 1 year prescription (or the duration of your old prescription). However, a waiver since the pandemic has removed this limit (for now).
It will still be up to your pharmacist's judgment depending on your specific situation.
Have a nice day!
