I have painful calluses on my feet, what can I do?

I have a partridge eye between the 4th and 5th toe... it's very painful! As I am an orderly and I walk a lot, I would like to know if you know what I should do?

Hello ma'am, sorry to read about your troubles!
This happens because of friction and pressure on the affected area. To prevent this, you will need to wear shoes that are loose fitting and offer adequate support. Think sneakers with orthopedic insoles.
To treat the area, I suggest soaking the foot in warm water for 15 to 20 minutes to soften the skin. After it dries well, you can lightly scrape it with a file or pumice stone. This may take several days. Moisturize the skin well afterwards with a fragrance-free moisturizer such as Base Glaxal. You can then apply a band aid to reduce friction.
If this does not work, you should consult a podiatrist for a thorough evaluation of the situation.
I hope this has been helpful and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
