I take Pristiq in the evening instead of in the morning, can this affect the benefits of the medication?

Hello, I have been taking Desvenlafaxine 50mg since mid-December for anxiety problems. I always take it at bedtime, because it's easier to integrate it in my routine and to be sure not to forget it. However, I just noticed that on the jar it says to take it in the morning. I was wondering if it would interfere with the benefits of the medication if I take it at bedtime.

Hello,
Don't worry, taking it at bedtime will not be less effective than taking it at another time of the day.
Desvenlafaxine is for some people a little stimulating, so it could interfere with sleep. This is why it is more often recommended to take it in the morning
However, it can also happen that this medication causes drowsiness or that its effect on sleep is neutral.
In short, if it doesn't cause you sleep problems, you can continue to take your medication this way, especially since it's easier for you!
I hope that I have answered your question correctly,
