I have been taking Metformin for 6+ months (1000mg/per day) and would like to know if it is better to take a Vitamin B12 supplement?

My doctor never mentioned it to me but when I read about Metformin and the documentation provided by my pharmacist, I saw that there were often Vit B12 deficiencies associated with this medication.

Hello Ma'am,
This is indeed a possible side effect of this medication. Usually, it is recommended to take a supplement only if the medication will last for more than 1 year and if you do not eat a lot of meat.
If this is the case, you can very well take a supplement of 1000 mcg or 1200 mcg, 1 tablet per day.
Happy evening :)
