I have a persistent cough for a few days I have been taking enalapril for several years and lansoprazole, can a long term PPI cause lung infections?

Good morning, ma'am,
The manufacturer reports that there have been cases of respiratory tract infections during studies of this medication. The implication is that there are participants who have experienced this type of infection while taking the medication, it is not a cause and effect relationship
If you have a stuffy or runny nose, I suggest nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), which can be done as often as needed during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. By 'cleaning' the nasal secretions, you can reduce the backward flow of secretions, which often causes coughing. I also encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot, as you prefer.
I hope I have helped you and I am available if you have any further questions!
