Hello my 5 year old daughter has been in contact with someone who has lice. They exchanged hats and the little girl took our hairbrush which I brushed my daughter's hair with :(. Is there anything I can do right away or do I have to wait to see if she has lice?

Lice treatment should not be done on a preventive basis. Therefore, I recommend that you do not initiate a shampoo treatment for your daughter. Instead, get a comb specifically designed for lice and check her head every 3 days for the next 2 weeks. If you don't find anything, your daughter doesn't have lice.
