My baby had a stomach bug and now has loose stools?

My son (17 months old) had gastro (diarrhea) 14 days ago. Since then, his stools are always liquid. What can we do to get his stools back to normal?

We started taking probiotics 11 days ago and have been removing lactose from her diet for almost a week, switching to lactose-free products.
Without much improvement. We had a hope, but it came back liquid.

Hello, thank you for your question!
At first glance, I would not suggest taking probiotics for this indication, especially since probiotics can also cause diarrhea
I suggest that you stop taking probiotics and continue to give your child light foods: soups, broths, crackers, toast, etc. And avoid very heavy foods. And avoid very heavy and sweet foods like red meat and undiluted fruit juices
If your child is eating and drinking normally, and his or her general condition seems good, just watch for the next few days. If the diarrhea persists unabated for another week, I recommend that you consult your child's doctor as a precaution.
I hope this has been helpful to you, and if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
