Can you tell me if Metamucil is a good way to relieve diarrhea and if so how to use it?

Hello I am taking a medication for diabetes glumetza and it causes me diarrhea without warning and I do not know if metamucil could help me. I bought some in powder form but after some reading I can't figure out how to use it and how often etc.....

Hello ma'am,
The dose I recommend is one teaspoon of Metamucil in 60 to 120 ml of water, 1 to 2 times a day. Taking more water than that will make the diarrhea worse.
Please space this product from your other medications (including Glumetza) at least 3 hours apart.
If the diarrhea is recent, I strongly suggest that you talk to your pharmacist who will be able to reassess the treatment.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist

I will ask him if there are other medications because I was taking one before Glumetza and it was worse
