Before proceeding with treatment, how do I validate a diagnosis of plantar wart?

Hello, I discovered a kind of blister on one of my toes that has been there for the last few weeks/months but that I hadn't really paid attention to. However, I thought maybe it could be a plantar wart so I bought some product for that, recommended by the pharmacist. It is a kind of round and defined blister. It didn't really hurt but it has been there for a while. I started the treatment but I'm not 100% sure if it's a plantar wart, so before continuing I'll contact you.

Hello ma'am,
Did your pharmacist see the lesion in question before suggesting treatment? Would you be able to upload some well-lit images?

Hello!
Thank you for your quick feedback. No, the pharmacist did not see the lesion...
Here is a picture, but I must admit that since yesterday evening (first use of the treatment) the lesion is different. It wasn't white like that before, but rather normal color. It really looked more like a blister, but since it had been going on for several weeks and the shape was quite defined, I thought it was a wart...

Thanks for the feedback!
Did the lesion change in appearance after starting the treatment? If so, this is completely normal, the medication applied is meant to "remove" layer by layer, so it's normal for it to take on this appearance.

Yes, that's right, it was after the first treatment that it changed. I didn't think to take a picture beforehand unfortunately..
do you think it's a plantar wart? I don't want to burn my skin if it's not necessary..
thank you!

It is quite difficult to determine if it is a wart with the image.
However, if you only apply the product to the lesion, there should be no problems. I suggest applying Vaseline around the edge to protect the healthy skin.
If there is any pain or bleeding, stop the treatment as a precaution.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
