I don't know if I should continue my son's antibiotic?

Hello, on Sunday, we went to the clinic because my 6 month old baby had a fever for more than 24 hours. The doctor told us that he had a red eardrum so it could be the beginning of an ear infection and we left with a prescription (pro amox). On Monday he tested positive for covid, so I think I'm giving the antibio for nothing...can I stop it or will he develop a "tolerance" to it? If I have to continue it, it gives him a lot of diarrhea...thanks Well let's say he has several bowel movements a day, he "empties" himself... he doesn't have much weight to lose..
