Burning sensation after sex?

After sexual intercourse, my vagina burns at the entrance, it starts during penetration and increases when my partner ejaculates. I have had the depo provera since about May and I had a caesarean in January. Otherwise, normally nothing burns Is it possible that it is simply caused by a lack of lubrication?
