Is it possible that taking citalopram (40mg) and Trazodone (20mg) can cause a very long menstrual cycle?

29-year-old womana year ago
I am 28 years old and my cycle is 40-50 days. I removed my coil in June 2022 and have not taken any contraceptives since. It seems to me that when I was on my IUD, my periods were close together. I also had an ultrasound of my uterus and ovaries in the spring of 2022 and I did not have a cyst, only a small fibroid.

Good morning, ma'am,
What IUD did you have before?
Was your cycle shorter before the IUD was inserted?

Thank you for the information, I'm sorry for the delay in my reply, I hadn't seen the notification!
I have not found any concrete data indicating changes in the length of the menstrual cycle with these medications. The Trazodone monograph mentions the possibility of menstrual irregularities and the citalopram monograph only mentions 'menstrual disorders', which is very broad...
The presence of fibroids can contribute to this, including anxiety, fatigue, and a change in schedule sometimes.
In the absence of other symptoms, however, only monitoring is recommended.
Sincerely,
