Fluctuations in result readings are possible, some people may even read 2 peaks during the course of a cycle, but this does not necessarily indicate a problem.

There may be a fluctuation during the peak, as the peak is not instantaneous, meaning that the LH level does not begin to decrease immediately after reaching the peak. There is a plateau that can last a few hours to a few days even. It is probably this plateau that you have noticed, but that is in addition to the inherent variability of your testing equipment :)
