My 3 year old boy has pimples on his body, how do I know what is causing them?

34-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello ! 3 year old child, asthmatic, potentially neutropenic, had a fever (38.6 in the morning and 39.1 in the evening rectal) yesterday. We went to the emergency room last night (given his condition, as soon as there is a fever we have to go) and we are back home since the neutrophils are 0.8. Nothing else to report. My husband is finishing a cold sore in his mouth. My son started getting pimples today on his buttocks, two on his face, one on his arm and two on his leg. He doesn't mind his spots at all. He does not have a fever anymore though.

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question!
I am reassured that you are reporting that your child is in good general condition, which is the most important thing
It is difficult to determine the exact cause of the pimples on your child's body, as many skin conditions can follow a fever episode.
In the absence of other symptoms, applying a fragrance-free moisturizer such as Aveeno as often as needed during the day is the basis of treatment. This is recommended as the first line of treatment, in addition to using fragrance-free soap such as Dove and avoiding rubbing to dry the skin (instead, lightly pat the skin to leave a thin layer of moisture and apply the moisturizer quickly after bathing).
I hope I've been helpful, and I'm available if you have any other questions
