Is it possible to get a prescription if I suspect an ear infection without going to a doctor's office?

My two year old daughter has been complaining (crying) about an earache since this morning. I suspect an ear infection because she also has flu-like symptoms such as a runny nose and a slight cough.

Good morning, ma'am,
An ear infection should be diagnosed after a medical examination which cannot be done by a doctor alone
Above the age of 2, it is more often of viral origin and tends to heal by itself. Just monitor the situation.
You can give Tylenol or Tempra for the pain, and I strongly suggest nasal hygiene with saline solution and baby wipes as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime for the runny nose and cough.
If the situation persists for more than 7 days without improvement or if your child has a fever for 72 hours, a doctor should be consulted as a precaution.
I will remain available if you have any further questions!
