Is it possible for a baby to get a stomach bug while taking antibiotics?

My daughter has been taking Clavulin for 1 week (pneumonia). She vomited last night (2x). This morning, she had a fever of 40 with diarrhea and vomited during the day. The doctor thinks that the antibiotic is resistant and prescribed another one to take if the fever persists for 24 hours. We suspect rather the gastro.

Hello Ma'am,
Since gastro is caused by a virus, I can confirm that you can get it even when you are on antibiotics.
In any case, given the persistent fever, I think it was wise to change the antibiotic.
If the fever is still present in 2 days, you will need to reconsult 😊
Good day,
