I have plates everywhere that come and go, what could it be?

I have patches that appear on my body. It stings a lot. I take a benadryl and it passes (coincidence?). It started two weeks ago and it happens randomly, every two days. I don't eat or drink anything new. In my throat, I feel like I have a balloon when I swallow, but I still breathe well! My plaques are all over my body, especially on my face/torso/back.
