However, the 7 pills that I skip, do I throw them away or after 7 days do I start over or was I throwing them away before I stopped?

Hello, I went to see a pharmacist because I've been taking the pill continuously for several months and she told me to stop taking it for 7 days when I have my period. However, the 7 pills that I skip, do I throw them away or after 7 days do I start again or was I throwing them away before I stopped?

If these are active tablets, you can keep them to continue afterwards. What contraceptive are you prescribed?
4 days off might be enough, not to exceed 7 days. Here is a helpful link: https://www.chudequebec.ca/getmedia/047c984f-1f63-4b07-9b06-cd5398d5d36b/Pilule_continu_planning.aspx

I am taking the yaz. So if I stop during the pink pills can I continue or did I stop?

Yaz has 24 active pink tablets and 4 inactive white tablets. So, when doing the continuous contraception, you throw away these inactive tablets. If your period starts, you can stop taking the pink ones between 4 and 7 days, as mentioned in the link provided. If your package still contains pink tablets, you can take them.
Is this clearer?
